Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subsurface Document/IM Project Lead - STAFF, based in Aberdeen.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven Project Management background and have a good working understanding of G&G/geoscience as well as, ideally IM/Documentation. Please get in touch if you have 2 out of the 3 with experience of all 3 as a bonus!
You will hold project management accreditation, be comfortable reporting to the senior management team and overseeing a team of c7 people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a leadership role within the Information Management Department, reporting to the Information Centre Team Leader. Responsible for leading the Management of Well Information Project and managing the subsurface data management team.
This role is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives in support of IM best practice. Working in compliance with Company policies and procedures under the guidance of the Information Centre Team Leader.
Take accountability for successful delivery of Management of Well Information Project and all IM services for G&G activities and joint accountability for the success of all International Division G&G and DCWS projects and activities.
Ensure all projects are lead through IM best practice processes including annual budgeting, effective cost reporting, effective and robust quality management, risk management, overall project planning & milestones, leads scenario planning, compile resource profiles, agree project objectives and metrics, maintain robust management of change, ensure an effective evaluate phase(s) is conducted so learnings can be taken forward.
REQUIREMENTS:
Project Management Qualification or working towards accreditation with a recognised body. i.e. APM or PMI
Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex multi-year projects and scopes of work.
Demonstrated knowledge in areas of IM and Subsurface Data Management.e.g. understanding of regulatory requirements, quality management, managing subsurface data and documentation, developing robust processes and workflows to meet project needs, governance of company procedures both internally and externally.
Competency in risk assessment and mitigation at project level.
Effective written communication and presentations to Senior Management Team and other stakeholder
Demonstrated ability to create an empowered team, setting clear expectations and ensuring the team take accountability for delivery.
Demonstrated people management skills - performance management, resource planning, and recruitment.
