Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Communications Manager (Lead of GSPV Engagement and Collaboration) for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in United Kingdom. Initial 12-month contract. This is a fully remote position.

Job Summary:


The Lead of GSPV Engagement and Collaboration will play a role in creating and implementing the strategy for:
  • Enhancing engagement and collaboration within GSPV employees.
  • Enhancing engagement between GSPV and other Enterprise-wide functions.
  • Ensuring the key activities promoting engagement and collaboration align with the broader Group of our client and R&D strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate communication of project updates/milestones and departmental updates within GSPV.
  • Develop and maintain the tools (templates, guidance) which facilitate timely, effective and targeted communication within GSPV and from GSPV Leadership and the SVP, Head of GSPV to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and implement activities aimed at improving the recognition and engagement of GSPV employees (e.g.: enhancing use of CTP awards, verbal/written recognition, acknowledgement at townhalls)
  • Plan and implement activities aimed at improving the engagement within GSPV employees (e.g.: speed networking, townhalls, enhanced opportunities for N-3 and beyond to interact with LT, People-managers offsites and meetings)
  • Support the planning and delivery of a CSL-wide global event which promotes patient safety (e.g.: Patient Safety Week)
  • Explore and implement opportunities to raise the overall profile of GSPV through the use social media (e.g.: LinkedIn) and digital tools to enhance communications (both internal and external).
  • Support the Head of GSPV (as required) in planning and delivering the communications plan for all GSPV change management activities (e.g.: as a result of automation, right sizing, integrations).
  • Organisation of team building initiatives such as global offsite meetings and engagement activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor, Heath care, Life sciences, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or other University degree of other relevant fields OR 10+ years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • 10+ years in Communication, Marketing, Event Management or Public Relations in a health care of pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience working for global companies with a demonstrable understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • Track record of improving engagement and collaboration in a multi-national company.
  • Experience executing and composing effective communication from the Leadership team to employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the organisational leadership and lead global initiatives.
  • Successfully led global events both face to face and virtually.
  • Developed and implemented new processes and initiatives on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn) for strategic content development and external brand positioning, coupled with a strong ability to create and manage internal departmental communications that enhance organizational alignment and employee engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills, diplomacy and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled at presenting to global audiences both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages concisely and precisely.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and varying hours due to the global nature of the role.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Familiarity with project approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
