About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Drilling Superintendent to join our team for an exciting contract opportunity offshore Algeria. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling and completion operations, ensuring wells are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

Objectives:

  • Deliver wells that meet program requirements, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Plan and implement drilling operations in accordance with JV documentation, goals, strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted with a strong focus on health, safety, environmental protection, and quality.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all drilling operations on assigned units, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and manage all personnel, contractors, and service companies involved in drilling operations.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all stakeholders.
  • Utilize operational networks to enhance work quality and facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety inspections and regulations.
  • Manage equipment and service selection, procurement, and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on rig KPIs.
  • Approve invoices for received services and equipment within authorized limits.
  • Report exemptions and non-conformances according to established procedures.
  • Facilitate experience transfer within the unit and across other projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including quality data entry into the DIMS system.
  • Maintain 24-hour operational monitoring.
  • Manage human resources for assigned personnel, including training and development.
  • Provide on-the-job training for aspiring drilling supervisors, assistant drilling supervisors, and engineers.
  • Potentially manage well operations/maintenance, if qualified.
Educational Requirements:
  • Relevant college/university degree (or equivalent extensive relevant experience).
  • Valid IWCF Well Control Certificate.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant drilling well experience.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Drilling Supervisor.
  • Must be UNDER 58 YEARS due to visa restrictions
  • Minimum 10 years working for O&G operator / E&P Companies
