About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Lead to join the Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) team. This is a residential role based in Kampala with a family package available, offering a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale oil & gas development in Uganda.

About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Lead to join the Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) team. This is a residential role based in Kampala with a family package available, offering a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale oil & gas development in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee electrical, instrumentation, and ICSS disciplines, managing a team of TotalEnergies and contracted personnel.
- Ensure maintenance and inspection planning aligns with international and company standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and spare parts management.
- Participate in the review and approval of engineering documents, testing procedures, and commissioning activities.
- Support the recruitment and training of future maintenance engineers and site personnel.
- Develop and implement digital tools for effective maintenance operations.
- Act as the Local Industrial Cyber Security Officer (L-iCSO), ensuring compliance with cyber security regulations.
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentation and/or electrical maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
- At least 2 years working on an operational plant in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (NEC, IEC, ATEX, API, etc.).
- Experience in developing maintenance strategies, procedures, and asset integrity programs.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and navigate local regulatory requirements.
- Work on a strategic, high-impact project in Uganda’s growing oil & gas sector.
