Engineering Manager (PAYE) with an Operator client in Aberdeen for a development project.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for all engineering design activities including the engineering elements of procurement throughout all project phases. Will be accountable for assuring the FPSO design is delivered in a timely manner against the BOD, SOR and Scope of Work as detailed in the FPSO contract.
Accountable to deliver engineering and provide detailed design oversight for the FPSO through execution, construction, hook up and commissioning of the Facilities:
Identify all engineering needs and interfaces; ensure timely allocation of resources
Accountability for the facilities Engineering through all project phases, including the management of interfaces, technical risks & implementation of the management of change (MoC).
Coordination of integrated activities (surface facilities/subsea/flow assurance) according to plan, and to deliver robust, safe and fit for purpose design solutions
Plans, approves and maintains all aspects of the facilities engineering design are in overall alignment with business drivers and plans
Contribute to and collates Decision Technical Notes for critical technical decision points, and works across disciplines to ensure all integration elements are considered and any impacts captured, quantified and communicated to the Project Manager
Maintain current and robust knowledge of UKCS regulatory requirements
Coordinate external engineering Contractors providing services to the business.
Work to operational standards, procedures, processes, guidance and other forms of control for operated assets
Accountable for setting and assuring application of appropriate engineering standards
Approval of selection of facilities engineering assurance teams
Approval of engineering audits and assessments, implements preventative and corrective measures and action plans to ensure engineering standards are maintained
Provide technical approval of management of change proposals
The Engineering Manager is accountable for technical integrity assurance and technical risk management during all project phases, including the verification that project design control systems are in place and being followed.
