Production Technician Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for technology and fieldwork? We are looking for a Production Technician who is mechanically inclined, highly motivated, and eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role As a Production Technician, you will work in the field alongside various teams to perform repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and analyze root causes of failures. You will also handle contractor work, collect and validate operational data, and investigate customer or third-party concerns.
This role supports a manufacturing mindset—focusing on quality assurance, safety, and continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively across teams to drive efficiencies and enhance operating practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and pre/post-job reviews.
- Communicate clearly with remote teams using phone, video, and virtual assist technology.
- Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
- Support quality assurance by identifying and eliminating defects and variability.
- Handle contractor coordination and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Work in physically demanding environments, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- 4-Wheel Drive Truck with Tools Required
- Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): A personal laptop is required; the company does not supply one.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
- Understanding of oil and gas operating systems from reservoir to sales line.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and seek opportunities to expand capabilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair components such as level controllers, valves, switches, controls, pumps, and flare systems.
- Knowledge of artificial lift systems (gas lift, ESPs, rod pumps).
- Experience working with high-pressure systems (up to 3,000 psig).
- OSHA – H2S
- OSHA – Hazwoper Training (8-Hour Course)
- OSHA – First Aid / CPR
- OSHA – Benzene Awareness
- Mileage Reimbursement: IRS rate applies for in-field mileage only.
- In-field mileage starts from the first work location of the day and ends at the last location before heading home.
- On-call exception: If called out from home, mileage is reimbursed from the moment the technician leaves their house.
