SECTION 1: POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: HSE&C Advisor / Safety Coach

SECTION 2: KEY ROLE

Advise HSE&C Team Lead of HSE issues related to Suppliers and Contractors and ensure that bp's HSE requirements and expectations are being met.
Act as mentor/coach to bp project HSE Advisors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health or related field, NEBOSH Diploma/HSSE Advisor/Tech SP, HSE Lead Auditor (External) to OHSAS 18001, NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent degree/certifications and experience.

Experience:

10+ years in Offshore / Onshore HSE Management with Current knowledge of Industry HSE Regulations required. Knowledge of bp P&O (GPO) HSE&C processes and procedures preferred.

LINE MANAGER TITLE: SD Compression HSE&C Team Lead

SECTION 4: RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

• Acts as bp HSE Coach responsible for supporting the service delivery of health, safety, security, environment to the project team across all bp Projects sites.
• Provide coaching and advice to HSE team members and Project site leadership on continuously improving HSE-related performance. Be visible, engaging and actively listen.
• Act as HSE Mentor Coach to HSE&C Advisors.
• Conduct DPM/PIMS training to project employees when required.
• Ensure that full compliance with bp's HSE&C procedures and requirements have been implemented and maintained by all associated Contractors and Suppliers.
• Support building HSE capability across the HSE team on site.
• Coach line on safety culture leadership.
• Support the One Team approach with effective contractor engagement and integration.
• Conduct HSE related bp Oversight (OS) of contractor Self-verification (SV) activities and support revisions and training in conducting bp OS of Contractor SV.
• Review Supplier RFI/RFP and bid tenders on behalf of the PSCM group.
• Ensure that contractor reporting and recording are compliant with bp HSE&C Procedures.
• Engage in clear, two-way communications with employees and contractors on HSE related issues.
• Ensure proactive communications are established and maintained with employees, contractors, and authorities, regarding HSE&C aspects of the project.
• Review and prepare HSE documents, procedures and review of risk assessments.
• Undertake site tours (offshore) when required.
• Participate in required safety meetings, HAZOP, HAZID’s Safety Surveys / Inspections / Conferences, Forums and Kick-Off meetings.
• Ensure that suppliers and contractors execute their work in accordance with established project procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
• Co-ordinate safety and operational activities with third parties where necessary.
• Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are investigated and reported, and corrective actions are promptly taken to prevent reoccurrence of the same.
