Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Material Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cataloguing materials in Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPLs) into the SAP database. The role requires expertise in materials management within the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company standards.

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Material Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cataloguing materials in Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPLs) into the SAP database. The role requires expertise in materials management within the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess spare parts capacity and operating supplies requirements for projects.
- Liaise with OPCO to determine material needs and ensure accurate documentation.
- Catalog and prepare spare materials database for SAP-Materials Modules as part of the Spares & Operating Supplies Team (SOST).
- Inspect received materials in the warehouse for improved descriptions and latest part numbers.
- Review Recommended Spare Parts List (RSPL) to ensure procedural accuracy.
- Research and retrieve missing or incomplete information to align with company standards.
- Enhance procurement and warehouse processes by improving item descriptions and buying texts.
- Cross-check existing SAP records and inventory to eliminate duplications using SAP search functionalities.
- Update RSPL and Project Material Master Form with comprehensive technical buying descriptions.
- Adhere to Company Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security regulations.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Experience: Prior experience of materials management, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM modules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
