Job description
Orion are working with a hugely successful Construction & Civil Engineering client with a long history of delivering complex projects across the UK, to source an organised and proactive Office Manager to keep there site operations as part of a multi million pound Energy project running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking a candidate who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings the following:
• Proven experience managing a busy office environment and leading a team.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidently engaging with colleagues at all levels.
• Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• A strong customer focus and ability to deliver under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior team members is a plus.
Ideally, you will be based on the Orkney Islands, however applicants from mainland UK are also welcome as accommodation and flights will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day office management, ensuring the workspace is well-maintained and fully functional.
- Administrative Support: Manage schedules, meetings, and correspondence for senior staff.
- Management: Managing a team of 25 across the project.
- Budget Management: Monitor and maintain office expenditure within budget guidelines.
- Team Coordination: Foster a positive office environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the office complies with health and safety regulations.
