We have a current opportunity for a Exploration Strategy / Portfolio advisor on a contract basis. The position will be based in Muscat. For further information about this position please apply.

Contrcat Duration : 1 Year extendable
Main tasks and responsibilities
Lead the exploration Planning & Portfolio management for Exploration Upstream, under Exploration Function, acting as single point of accountability for matching Upstream capabilities and demands (product, or unrefined petroleum fluids).
Responsible to mature and deliver prospects, defining the methods / standards, ensuring probabilistic risk-analysis methodology, and align staff capabilities with requirements; in order to achieve strategic targets based on demand and needs.
Portfolio Exploration:
Manage exploration portfolio of both operated and non-operated assets
Define the strategy for portfolio management process including the probabilistic prospects resources/reserves, geological data and volumetrics to have the inventory of resources validated for further applications.
Review the alterations to economic perspectives and prepare a consolidate data returns / production contribution
Evaluation of reserves additions from geological / production, technical and economic feasibility perspective
Ensuring all prospects are assessed consistently before entering the prospect inventory
Planning capabilities:
Evaluate and report staff development planning and skill management
Maintain exploration risk register and audit plan
Prepare Work program & budget and annual exploration business plan
Prepare with team exploration KPI's and track performance/ reporting
Conduct Value Assurance of key projects
Custodian of exploration data management
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience/ Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
20+ years of experience in relevant position.
Well-rounded professional with strong background in Exploration Planning & Portfolio
Strong management & leadership skills to lead all aspects of the Exploration & production process & should be able to work collaboratively with all involved.
Monte Carlo simulation software.
Hands on experience at managerial level in Oil & Gas subsurface field
