Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Process Engineer, based onshore in Aberdeen. This is a Maternity cover role through until the end of March 2026. This is supporting a high activity platform with complex support needs therefore strong experience in a similar role is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Provide process support to operations on a daily basis to maintain high production and water injection efficiency. Engage with offshore team via morning call and regular contact via collaboration room.
- Coordinate with Production Engineering to ensure optimal conditions for production are fully understood.
- Identify areas for process optimisation and liaise with production operations to optimise production.
- Understand plant operating/design envelope to ensure safe operation.
- Provide support to other areas of the business (HSE&A Group, Facilities Engineering) in support of Engineering Changes and Operational Risk Assessments.
- Conduct investigations into process related plant upsets and implement controls to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure actions are promptly closed out.
- Raise Engineering changes and liaise as required with the Facilities Engineering function.
- Provide input as required to the forward strategy for the platform by identifying future opportunities to either optimise production or minimise Opex spend (Mothballing Equipment etc).
- Provide process engineering support as required to any major Capex projects.
- Raise NOPRAS for non-standard operations and track and engage with Engineering/Operations to expedite close out.
- Provide support to the Production Optimisation team for loss reporting data.
- Support drive to minimise Process Safety Events through providing support to close out Enablon /LEHS actions.
- Provide support as required to offshore team/TAR team as part onshore readiness reviews and input to the ORR process.
- Provide Operations support as part of process plant trials to optimise production.
- Work collaboratively in teams to develop plans to achieve long term objectives or implement corporate strategies.
- Role-models compliance with HSE policy . Ensures that all activities are planned and conducted in compliance with HSE policy

- Manages the team in order to deliver budgeted outputs and costs. Effectively manages resources within their control, minimises waste, and risk, and raises potential budgetary issues as soon as they are identified
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline
- With broad engineering experience, including hands-on operations field environment and also interaction with engineering discipline for project development.
- Able to balance innovation and risk in addressing operational challenges.
- Knowledgeable on performance standards and ensuring the asset are compliant with requirements of the verification scheme.
- Experienced in interacting with engineering discipline and third party contractors.
- Strong initiative and orientation towards continuous improvement.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team by effectively handling cultural, political and economic differences
