POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Quality Inspector E&I

KEY ROLE

• The Quality Inspector is responsible for executing Quality Control activities and coordinating specialist Inspection resources to implement the project Quality Management System requirements throughout the construction phase of the project.
• Execute the project Quality Plan within the construction activities of the project.
• Implement BP's Engineering and Quality Management Guidelines.
• Execute the project Site Specific Quality Plan within the construction activities of the project
• Provides guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties as required to confirm understanding of the project Quality objectives

• Support and facilitate implementation of Right 1st Time program
• The Quality Inspector should manage the necessary resources required to meet the Inspection and surveillance activities Identified in the construction contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and the construction schedule.

• Review the construction contractor’s Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and other relevant quality documentation

• Identify risks In the contractors and sub-contractors which may lead to audits being required to be carried out by the project Quality Lead

• Confirm that statutory inspection requirements are complied with during construction of the facilities and ensure the competency levels of personnel involved in construction activities. Participate in audits as requested
• Verify BP's Inspection, surveillance and witnessing of constructed components Is executed in accordance with approved ITPs and complete the surveillance check sheets as per the surveillance plan. Contribute to the quality observations program
• Facilitate the project activities to handle contractor non- conformances, deviations and concession requests
• Confirm that statutory inspection requirements are complied with during construction of the facilities
• Coordinate project activities for final inspection, punchllst and release of constructed equipment to commissioning

• Facilitate the project activities to handle contractor nonconformances, deviations and concession requests
• Monitor and support contractor and supplier quality oversight activities (e.g., inspection, witnessing critical tests, and reviewing inspection reports) to ensure procured materials, equipment, and constructed components are verified and executed in accordance with approved ITPs

• Confirm that all relevant quality documentation, testing and inspection results are properly documented, complete and handed over in accordance with the information handover specification
• Capture quality-related lessons for future projects via the Local and ETP Shared Learning System
• Incorporate applicable quality-related lessons learned from other projects
• Contribute to the project quality improvement process by the capture and assessment of non-conformances and concessions, and the implementation of the immediate containment actions arising
• Provide support and input to detailed weekly and monthly Quality reports as required by project
• Provide trend data from the contractor deviation and concession process to allow interventions to be made for high risk and recurring issues and quality KPI's

• Provide commissioning completions, certification, handover and regulatory compliance support of work scopes including installed equipment/plant certification and handover

• Any other tasks as assigned by the quality lead


BASIC SKILLS

• Strong computer literate (MS programmes – words, excel, PowerPoint)

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in electrical and instrumentation engineering are advantageous
• Valid CompEx (or equivalent) Certificate
• Working knowledge of industrial Standards
• Hawke Cable Gland Training Course
• Swagelok Training Course

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years in Quality Assurance, Control in Oil and Gas industry
• Experience working in Brownfield projects
• NDE Methodology Awareness (MT, PT, RT, UT) - preferred
• ISO 9001 lead Auditor or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor - preferred
• Quality management experience should include, but not be limited to, quality planning, quality oversight and verification activities, audit, definition and oversight of inspection activities, continuous improvement,
• Experience relevant to fabrication, construction and installation of offshore/onshore facilities
• Experience working in Sangachal Terminal
