We have a new requirement for a Senior Instrument Engineer with a major Oil and Gas client in Dubai, UAE.
Job Purpose:
As a Senior Instrument Engineer, you will work closely with the Lead Control and Instrument Engineer to ensure that all instrumentation requirements meet company and industry standards. You will provide technical support, oversee design engineering, and play a key role in project execution.

Job Purpose:
As a Senior Instrument Engineer, you will work closely with the Lead Control and Instrument Engineer to ensure that all instrumentation requirements meet company and industry standards. You will provide technical support, oversee design engineering, and play a key role in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for operational and design engineering activities.
- Review and approve Instrument/Control Engineering Deliverables, including Cause & Effects (C&E’s), I/O Lists, AFC Drawings, and Schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Change Management Processes, particularly in Software Management of Change.
- Implement industry best practices in safety, design criteria, and technical standards.
- Contribute to conceptual, front-end, and detailed engineering design.
- Participate in Site Surveys, Project Design Reviews, Vendor Inspections, and Lifecycle Reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA.
- Execute Instrument/Control engineering designs in alignment with project schedules and cost estimates.
- Identify and integrate new technologies that enhance safety, operations, and cost efficiency.
- Support the Lead Instrument and Control Engineer in updating Instrument and Control specifications.
- Manage procurement activities, including material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor clarifications.
- Educational Background: Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Control, or relevant discipline).
- Chartered/Professional Engineer preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems, including DCS and PLC.
- Oil and Gas industry experience is essential.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of International Standards and Certifications.
- Proven expertise in Instrumentation and Control Systems.
- Self-motivated, organized, and deadline-driven.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
