A major operator was expanding into a new developing region, which required the design and infrastructure for a 75,000m² Integrated Supply Base, including warehousing and storage solutions.
The client sought to build a sustainable, Net Zero facility that would support the full asset lifecycle for their operations, including drilling, production, and logistics.
The challenge was to develop a fully integrated supply chain that encompassed everything from materials management to warehousing and logistics, while meeting the client’s sustainability goals.
Orion Materials Management was called upon to support the design, construction, and commissioning of the facility, working closely with local service providers to deliver a safe, efficient, and cost-effective solution on time and within budget.
The Brief
Design, construct, and commission a 75,000m² Integrated Supply Base, including warehousing and storage solutions, in a new developing region. The key objectives were to:
- Develop a fully sustainable, Net Zero facility that aligns with the client’s environmental goals.
- Create an efficient and integrated supply chain that supports materials management, warehousing, and logistics, ensuring smooth operations from the start.
- Design a facility capable of handling over 35,000 SKUs and accommodating more than 5,000 pallet spaces, ensuring the infrastructure met both immediate and long-term operational needs.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets global safety and regulatory standards.
- Establish a best-in-class facility that supports the entire asset lifecycle for drilling, production, and operations in the region.
