The client is an energy services company that provides a range of engineering, production support, and maintenance management to the major operators in the Oil & Gas Industry. Through our existing contractor network, an exclusive relationship was established to provide personnel to their recent Facilities Maintenance and Upgrade project award on the North Slope.
The Brief
Following project award, our client was required to quickly ramp up their skilled craft workforce in order to meet the agreed maintenance milestones of the project. The required workforce included a diverse range of field-based personnel such as pipefitters, welders, and electricians, with a support team based in Anchorage.
The Solution
Orion partnered with the client to identify, interview and select candidates for each of the roles. The duration of the project was more than 12 months, therefore requirements changed periodically, which required an agile recruitment strategy to meet the agreed upon milestones.
Our US Energy team leveraged their existing networks along with establishing new talent pools in both Alaska and the lower 48 states to meet the project personnel requirements. Domestic travel arrangements and the procuring of equipment were provided throughout the project duration.

Orion successfully identified 50+ contractors over the duration of the project.
