Data Scientist
Hybrid in West Sacramento, CA
6+ months initial contract
Hourly Pay Rate: 65/hr (client mandated for pay equity purposes)

Orion Group is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to work with our global medical device client in West Sacramento, CA. This will be a hybrid position. The manager would like to have someone come onsite at least 3 days per week.

Duties / Responsibilities:

- You will work on mid to large scale data analysis projects across various domains such as development science and algorithm development. This data scientist will play an integral role in designing data collection strategy, development of data analysis tools, automation of reports, integration of various tools into existing data pipeline.
- You will get the opportunity of working in a fast-paced environment developing custom data analysis tools and implementing data science techniques for analyzing and transforming data to build solutions that have the potential to transform people's lives.
- You will work with development science, clinical affairs and algorithm development partner teams on development, validation, and verification of various data analysis tools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Master's Degree (Or Ph.D) in Statistics, Data Science, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Microbiology or related field
  • Python
  • Signal Processing & Statistical Analysis
  • Tool Development (Design Control Validation & Verification or general FDA regulated environment)
  • Traditional Machine Learning / Deep Learning (no Gen AI)
  • Clustering Analysis
  • Data Visualization (growth curve analysis)
  • Timeseries Analysis
  • Ideally local to Sacramento (Opern to Northern California candidates)
