THE OPPORTUNITY - INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN, ONSHORE

Our Barrow facility is complex, with a range of high-pressure process plant, utilities and equipment that operate 24/7. Our Instrument Technicians are central to safe and environmentally responsible operations by completing routine maintenance and defect repairs to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment associates with gas production, processing and condensate storage. This position would be for a Day Shift position, 7 on and 7 off.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…

You'll be responsible for:

  • Executing maintenance activities to protect plant and equipment and maintain the safety of our teams

  • Investigating problems to find solutions and return normal operating service

  • Inspecting and maintaining instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas

  • Preparing and presenting reports and maintaining activity records

  • Carrying out commissioning and decommissioning activities

  • Supervising others to ensure activities are undertaken safely and efficiently

  • Ensuring safe working practices and procedures are adhered to within the area of work, and that appropriate permits are in place

ABOUT YOU

You'll be a strong communicator, able to work in collaboration with others. You'll be driven to ensure work is completed to a high standard and be committed to developing your job-related competencies.

You'll likely have:

  • Experience in maintaining high pressure process plant and equipment

  • CompEx certified

  • The ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of engineering principles and safe working practices

  • Knowledge of hazards, and of the procedures and systems to ensure the ongoing integrity of health, safety and environmental performance
