Civil engineers create, improve and protect the environment in which we live. They plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbours, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
In Civil Engineering, you can be involved with every aspect of design and plant layout. You could be involved with geotechnical works and assessments to find suitable sites for a processing hub.
For more senior and experienced candidates, there can be some great civil engineering jobs available. You will need the relevant qualifications for these, such as a civil engineering degree and chartered engineer status.
