Position Description:
The assembly technician will be based in the Vacuum Brazing department and will be responsible for the assembly of various LM Fuel Nozzles along with operation and maintenance of two Vacuum Furnaces.
 
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
 
Assembly of various LM Fuel Nozzles with reference to engineering drawings and work instructions.
 
Visual and dimensional inspection of Fuel Nozzles pre and post braze.
 
Operation and in-house maintenance of Vacuum Furnaces.
 
Ensure all paperwork i.e. job cards, traceability sheets and furnace records are accurate
and kept up to date.
 
Maintain all assembly tooling and furnace fixtures ensuring these are always returned to correct location in working order.
 
Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
 
Responsible for general housekeeping within the department and surrounding area.
 
Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

1 Responsible for the safety of all NIK personnel.
2 Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
3 Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
4 Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard of quality at all times.

Communicate effectively and positively with the DTL / TL.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
                          SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline.
                          Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
                          Be fully competent working alone on various types of fuel nozzles.
Skills & Behaviours:

Experience:
Mechanical background, preferably with experience in small component assembly but not essential as training will be given.
