Job description

We have a current opportunity for a CAD Deputy Discipline Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Surrey.

This would suit an ambitious CAD designer who has had some experience of leadership beforehand.

The CAD Deputy Discipline Manager is responsible for developing and providing expertise to the discipline in line with business requirements and ensuring technical competence for the execution of studies, tenders, and projects within their technical area of responsibility.

What will you be doing?

  • Proficient in creation and checking of models, engineering drawings, and sketches for procedures.
  • Under broad direction assigns, oversees, checks and approves the work of the local CAD team.
  • Supports Tender, FEED and new project scope resource estimation and planning.
  • Responsible for the quality, completeness, and accuracy of produced drawings.
  • Supports the proposition, creation and updating of guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensures that all guidelines and procedures are followed in the Drafting Office.
  • Supports in department meetings.

Background required

A CAD background at a contract company is needed.
