Contracts Advisor - Project - Supply Chain Integration
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Contracts Advisor to join their team on a project basis, supporting the crucial transition and integration of their Supply Chain following a recent acquisition.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and successful integration process by overseeing, managing, and executing various activities aligned with the company's established supply chain procedures.
Project Responsibilities:
* Plan Phase:
o Support category management and development.
o Assist with building individual contracting strategies for lower-risk and lower-value contracts.
* Source Phase:
o Develop and manage tenders for lower-value and lower-risk contracts.
o Negotiate with existing contractors to consolidate contracts.
* Manage Phase:
o Handle change management tasks associated with contract amendments (e.g., price changes, change orders).
o Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for Tier 1 contracts (performance management, contract management, risk management).
o Develop Contract Management Plans with Technical Owners and contractors for Tier 1 and Tier 2 contracts (as required).
o Assess and manage risks for Tier 2-4 contracts.
o Collaborate with the wider Supply Chain Team to achieve category activity and associated targets.
Critical Responsibilities:
* Uphold all safety regulations, adhering to legislative requirements and Harbour Energy's HSES Procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
* Prepare Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, considering business risks and key drivers.
* Draft robust evaluation criteria and assess bids (commercial elements) while assisting with negotiations per company procedures.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to compile strong contract award recommendations justifying preferred supplier selection.
* Draft and develop contracts and amendments, including robust Contract Management Plans incorporating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as needed.
* Ensure implementation of Contractor HSES practices, working closely with the contract team.
* Identify and comprehend commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders, proposing collaborative solutions that address market conditions, risks, and business drivers.
* Develop work plans and prioritize tasks to effectively contribute to the team.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
* Qualifications & Experience:
o Degree (Business Management, Quantity Surveying, or Law) or proven long-term experience in Contracts and Procurement.
o MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification (preferred).
o Experience in preparing ITTs, drafting contract documents, and award recommendations (ideally within the energy industry's operations division).
o Proven track record in contract negotiations and tender evaluation.
* Skills:

o Focus on tangible value-driven outcomes and translating strategy into action.
o Effective interpersonal and analytical/commercially minded approach.
o Customer focus with a keen eye for detail.
o Strategic thinking, effective time management, and data interpretation/reporting skills.
o Legal knowledge a plus.
