Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Document Controller on a contract basis. The position will be based in Muscat. For further information about this position please apply.

Location: Oman (Site & Office-based)
Contract Duration : 16 Months
Contract Status : Single

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in document control, preferably in the renewable energy, oil & gas, or construction industry.
Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and clients in large-scale infrastructure projects (preferably Renewable Projects).
Proficiency in Think Project EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) or Aconex, SharePoint, or any similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of ISO standards, document management best practices, and project documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

As part of his role, he is expected to manage a close interface with EPC & Document controllers and managing, maintaining, and controlling all project documentation related to the solar and wind projects.
The role also requires knowledge of Think Project EDMS to enhance document management efficiency.
Lead and oversee Project Company & EPC document management workstream
Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures to manage engineering, procurement, and construction documents.
Ensure accurate recording, distribution, and retrieval of project documents in line with company and client requirements
Maintain an organized electronic filing system, ensuring accessibility and security of documents.
Develop and monitor document control KPIs to ensure efficiency and compliance with project requirements
Take minutes of meetings, document key discussions and deadlines, and ensure timely follow-up on assigned tasks..
Assist in the preparation and formatting of reports, presentations, and official communications as needed.
Provide support in document-related training when needed
