Financial Compliance Analyst

Onsite M-F 8am-5pm

2-year contract

$24/HR

North Chicago

The Financial Compliance Analyst supports the Government Affairs Strategic Planning and Operations team by ensuring smooth logistical support for Government Affairs (GA) projects and initiatives and provides operational support for contract management, financial, and compliance tasks.

Financial Compliance Analyst Responsibilities:

Contracts and Financial:

· Comprehensively and consistently applies compliance requirements to deliverables and contracts with suppliers.

· Reviews assigned contract requests for completeness, tracks the review/approval process with vendor and GA leads, and monitors progress through approval.

· Applies knowledge of accounting principles, transparency regulations, and financial procedures to support the tracking of Government Affairs contracts, project monitoring, invoice processing and approvals, tracking of budget actuals, and financial projections (LBE and gaiting).

Compliance:

· Assists with collecting and submitting compliance documentation, including routing for approval.

· Updates and tracks low to medium-complexity compliance documents, such as fair-market value assessments and third-party funding requests for Membership/Sponsorship.

Metrics and Reporting:

· Updates reports and dashboards and applies basic tools for metrics collection in an informative format to aid in analyzing or reviewing data for projects and processes.

· Evaluates systems and data for inconsistencies, anomalies, and opportunities for greater efficiency and implement changes in coordination with GA Strategic Planning and Operations team.

· Participates in the development of guidelines and checklists.

Qualifications:

· Prefer experience/training in the following areas:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

· Minimum of 2-3 years of project management, contracting, compliance, and/or accounting experience required.

· Capable of handling multiple priorities

· Proficient PC software (Microsoft) and various database applications (Lotus Notes/Web applications)

· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

· Highly motivated and strong interpersonal skills

· Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

· Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and strategic and analytical thinking.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional.
