Type of Assignment - Full time (Contract)

Duration Of Assignment - 36 months

Location - Qatar (12/2 rotation)

The role:

  • Manage the flow assurance engineering activities for the offshore project and provide support to the Offshore Area Manager of Topsides & Pipeline Engineering.
  • Provide guidance for the contractor's flow assurance engineering for offshore topsides and pipeline, ensuring all activities adhere to contract requirements, including relevant codes and standards.
  • Coordinate risk management activities such as Design Risk Assessment; provide support to Operations and Commissioning advisors on specialised detailed flow assurance engineering.
  • Coordinate the engineering interface between topsides engineering disciplines, onshore facilities (offshore scope), pipeline engineering, and the following teams: Operations, Drilling, Well Management, Jacket, Pipelines, and the Onshore Project Team, from the perspective of topsides.
  • Provide direction of the FEED/EPCI contractors with respect to flow assurance engineering in relation to assigned area; engage with relevant interfaces Topsides/Pipelines and Onshore.
  • Work in a dynamic team environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills.

Requirements:

  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in discipline with at least five years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major capital projects and flow assurance engineering experience.
  • Experience with EPCI contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven ability and cultural sensitivity to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
