Diversity and Inclusion Trainer

6-month initial contract

M-F 8am-5pm

Hybrid/3 days onsite; 2 days remote

$40-$43/HR

North Chicago, IL

Orion Group is hiring a Diversity and Inclusion Trainer that will support the coordination and implementation of EEDI programs by partnering with members of the EEDI team, HR teams, and business leaders.

The Diversity and Inclusion Trainer will compile, track, and aggregate qualitative and quantitative metrics and reports to assess the progress and effectiveness of EEDI learning initiatives, and make recommendations for the best methods to track, evaluate, and report out learning metrics.

Diversity and Inclusion Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate effectiveness of learning program and utilizes data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Understands developing trends in the learning industry and shares them with the team.

  • Participates in the research, selection, and development of effective learning tools and resources.

  • Assists in conducting learning needs analysis and the design of learning materials using instructional design methods.

  • Assist in managing vendor partner relations and contracts.

  • Manage learning materials and shared sites. Review, proofread, edit, and format documents. Update course materials as needed by partnering with SME's across the organization.

  • Participate in special projects as applicable.

  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data.

  • Work autonomously, more along Excel analysis with a learning background; more around learning and structural design within their learning background.

  • Communication: email/calls and then external as well as internal clients, both written and articulation/oral communications.

Diversity and Inclusion Trainer Requirements:

  1. Moderate to advance excel skills - working with formulas and pivot tables

  2. Mid-level experience with data analysis - drawing insights from qualitative and

quantitate data sources

  1. Mid-level experience in learning design - familiarity with the ADDIE model,

instructional design, adult learning, research and content development

  1. Moderate ppt skills - able to create slides to highlight data analysis

  2. Entry-level to mid-level experience in DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)
