Quality Engineer (12-month Contract) - North America
Location: Chicago, IL and Mountain View, CA (Remote candidates considered)
Role Overview: Join our team in scaling up the global Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging network. We're seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure safe and reliable operations, driving superior customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement global quality standards across the value chain in the United States
- Deploy quality management systems and procedures, ensuring compliance (ISO9001)
- Monitor and report on quality KPIs, resolving non-conformances
- Develop local quality capabilities to foster a strong quality culture
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in quality engineering, preferably in customer-focused industries
- Familiarity with project quality assurance, root cause analysis, and ISO9001
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement
Desirable Skills:
- Ideally Quality Engineer or above within a similar industrial customer focused environment i.e. Construction & Commissioning, Electrical, Software, Supply chain (Automotive or similar also considered).
- Experience in electric vehicle charging or similar customer-facing environments
- Proficiency in communication/presentation across organizational levels
- Previous exposure to global matrix organizations and field service environments
- Familiarity with setting up quality systems in growth environments
