Job description

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Inspection Coordinator to support and advise on quality management and surveillance for a major modification project. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of the quality management programme for a major project. The successful candidate will report functionally to the Quality Director and liaise daily with 2nd Party Inspectors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the project's Focal Point for the Supplier Inspection process.

  • Develop and implement the project Inspection Plan and Programme.

  • Identify key inspection requirements and clarify inspection scopes for supplier packages.

  • Participate in kick-off meetings, lead pre-inspection meetings, and attend critical inspection stages as per approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Review supplier ITPs and ensure completeness of manufacturing data records.

  • Prepare Look-Ahead Schedules and Monthly Project Inspection Reports for submission to the client.

  • Liaise with client quality representatives as required.

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are understood and met or exceeded.

  • Facilitate Supplier Performance Evaluations when necessary.

  • Manage the administration of inspection resources and oversee the close-out of all Source Inspection assignments.

  • Regularly attend meetings and report to the Modification Quality Director.

  • Lead investigations and root cause analyses of supplier quality anomalies.

  • Conduct surveys and audits of manufacturing facilities as required.

  • Coordinate the activities of 2nd party service providers and review inspection reports.

  • Promote a strong HSSE and Quality Culture within the project and with external parties.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable expertise in quality assurance and inspection, with experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills are essential.

  • Proven track record of working on and delivering multifunctional projects.

  • Certifications such as CSWIP/AWS, ASNT Level II, NACE Level II, and API are advantageous but not essential.

  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong knowledge of Supplier Quality management in the EPC business.

  • Competence in budgeting, cost control, and spend analytics.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.
