Training Support Assistant

1-yr contract

M-TR onsite, Friday Remote (after training)
8:30 AM - 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch
$22/HR

Orion Group is hiring a Training Support Assistant (Training Specialist I) to work with our pharmaceutical clients Change Management group to support existing training materials and SAP system users.

The Training Support Assistant will gather data, report training metrics to management, and ensure that the training data gets entered into the LMS. This role may require other training responsibilities as directed, and the individual chosen must be able to work independently as well as with others.


The function of this role on this team is to realize that users are requesting access to SAP, and this team assigns training for the questions they are asking. You must understand what training is assigned and then assign that training so users can get access.

This role requires a lot of user support, being able to understand user questions, and problem-solving on why users are not getting access.

Training Support Assistant Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work under timelines and assure that training is performed within target dates.
  • High School Diploma required, associate degree preferred.
  • 2-7 years of experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of training in a regulated environment desired.
  • Organizational skills are needed to move files around, to proof training courses, and to be sure they are available and able to be accessed regularly.
  • Microsoft Excel Experience a Must; Pivot tables; filter; formulas (simple formulas that are provided and only need to be cut/pasted).
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • System aptitude/ability to search for answers - good with using systems; reports; using systems to perform work and support users
  • Ability to analyze a problem and determine resolution - answer user questions regarding training courses assigned and due
  • Assign training and follow up with users via email or Teams - using skills learned and experience (as it builds)
