Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Offshore Consent Advisor on a contract basis with one of UK's largest offshore wind projects. The position will be based in any of their UK offices with lots of flexibility and options for remote working.

The Offshore Consent Advisor is responsible for supporting the Offshore Consent Lead deliver the offshore consenting strategy. The objective of the role includes supporting the achievement of a buildable consent for the relevant offshore elements of the Project, securing a uniform approach to authorities/regulators and stakeholders and management of the offshore deliverables from consultants.

Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for delivering defined work packages to support the offshore elements of the DCO and Marine Licences for the project
* Reviewing the deliverables of the offshore consultants in the responsible areas as required
* Utilising and administering QA processes, tracking and monitoring processes for the offshore deliverables on the project.
* Ensure strong cooperation within the offshore team for all offshore packages
* Contractor and budget management for relevant scopes of work
* Input and support Consent manager on resource needs, programme and risks in relation to the offshore elements
* Provide updates on key show stoppers on the offshore workstreams to the Offshore Consent Lead
* Close coordination with other project stakeholders as directed by the Consent Lead

Description of position: Key tasks
* Deliver buildable consent of the offshore elements of the project on time and to budget according to the programme
* Where required contribute to project consent strategy for the offshore elements and feed to the Offshore Consent Lead
* Support development, utilisation and implementation of tools and trackers to coordinate project deliverables
* Take responsibility for and deliver DCO/Marine licence documents in conjunction with external and internal parties
* Attendance at project and stakeholder meetings as required including preparation and minute taking
* Liaise and coordinate third parties as required by the Offshore Consent Lead to facilitate application preparation, tracking and reporting
* Prepare and coordinate preparation of internal reports
* Undertake technical and consistency reviews of third party deliverables

* Marine Mammals, Benthic Ecology, Water Framework Directive, Marine Processes, Shipping and Navigation (lead), Aviation, Military, and Communications, Infrastructure and Other Users, Dredging & Disposal Characterisation, Commercial Fisheries, Marine Archaeology, Seascape and Visual Resources, Fish Ecology, Inter-related Effects, Cumulative & Trans-boundary, Shipping and Navigation
