Cable Package Manager - Inter-Array Cables

Activities

Our client is a leading European operator who aim to achieve 100 GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030 and become a global leader in renewable energy, with offshore wind as a key focus. Offshore wind projects are characterized by significant scale (typically 500 MW to 2000 MW, 1 to 5 billion USD) and complexity (multiple partnerships, offshore environment, intense competition).

The position of

  • Delivery of Inter-Array cables contracts encompassing:
    • Health, safety, environment, and quality
    • Design, supply, installation, and commissioning
    • Program management
    • Commercial, claims, and risk management
    • Project reporting and process development
  • Primary responsibilities:
    • Optimize HSSE performance through design and implementation to mitigate risks.
    • Review and implement FEED contracts, supporting main asset procurement and detailed design.
    • Define, develop, and manage interfaces with other project packages.
    • Oversee tender document preparation, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, execution, and claim management until handover to the operation team.
    • Foster daily interaction with the contractor to ensure adherence to HSSE, quality, scope, budget, technical requirements, and timelines.
    • Manage technical and commercial risks, issues, and impacts of project changes.
    • Report project progress, issues, and changes to the Senior Project Manager.
    • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to deliver project objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead a multidisciplinary cables team.
  • Ensure delivery of Inter-Array cables contracts.

Required Experience

  • Master's in Engineering with extensive experience in submarine cable system design and installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Significant project management experience in offshore submarine cables.
  • Proven expertise in contract management, claims management, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
