About the CompanyOur client is a global company with operations across Germany, the US, China, India, Slovakia, and Italy. Specializing in Process Technology, Building Materials, and Recycling, the North American subsidiary operates from its 14,000 ft² facility in Charlotte, NC.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support throughout the sales process, managing post-sales projects, and optimizing filtration processes for our customers. This role involves up to 40% travel to customer sites for commissioning and process improvements.

As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support throughout the sales process, managing post-sales projects, and optimizing filtration processes for our customers. This role involves up to 40% travel to customer sites for commissioning and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct benchtop-scale filtration testing and oversee pilot filter installations.
- Perform scale-up calculations and prepare technical reports.
- Specify and design filtration equipment based on process requirements.
- Provide technical support to customers on equipment design, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Lead commissioning efforts, including water batching, startups, operator training, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- BS in Chemical Engineering with in-plant experience in chemical production.
- Strong background in troubleshooting process equipment.
- Experience with GA Drawings, P&IDs, and Electrical/Pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
