Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Project Manager for our Pharmaceutical client based in the Haarlem Area. Initial 24-month contract for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Quality:

    • Supports the site's Quality Systems & Compliance team in establishing and maintaining quality at the department in accordance with Site SOPs, Global Standards of our client, regulatory guidelines and cGXP compliance requirements.

    • Maintain high standards of quality at the department through managing and continuously improving the effectiveness of the department quality processes and systems.

  • Measure and Monitor Execution:

    • Consistently measure, monitor and report site quality key performance indicators.

  • Team:

    • Support in identifying, developing, and retaining qualified people to implement the quality processes.

    • Participate in teams that have the technical expertise, personal skills and interpersonal skills needed to influence site Operations and is conversant in application of regulations.

  • Sustainable Culture of Quality:

    • Maintain a culture of enhancing quality throughout the entire site operations.

    • Risk based quality decision making. Review and provide options to meet business needs without compromising quality and compliance.

  • Influence beyond the site:

    • Share best practices, challenges and lessons learned at the site and on SME topics also across the Quality organisation of our client in order to improve the performance of quality globally.

    • Product Transfers.

      • Ensure product transfers across sites also include the transfer of quality information (knowledge, risks, documentation for manufacture and control processes, validations, Product Quality Reviews).

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • University level (Pharmacy/ Chemistry) or HBO+ with several years of experience in a quality position in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Specific training (internal and/or external) and experience.

  • Experience with pharmaceutical processes, techniques, and cGXP.

  • Familiar with process automation.

  • Collaboration:

    • Builds relationships with other functions and builds networks with key stakeholders.

    • Seeks to provide solutions, not just identify problems.

    • Shares best practices and knowledge within and across sites.

  • Proactive Orientation:

    • Uses analyses to identify root causes and determine CAPAs.

    • Recognises when changes in product, processes or regulations will require changes in tasks and plans accordingly.

    • Ability to move between he details and the "big picture".

  • Results Orientations:

    • Is able to get things done without having the formal authority.

    • Anticipates and removes potential obstacles to achieving (team) goals.

    • Accepts accountability for own decisions and behaviours.

  • Develops Others:

    • Identifies gaps in capability or needs for future learning requirements in cooperation with departmental management.

  • Learning Agility:

    • Sets a personal example of continuous learning.
