Job description
Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Associate Finance for our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client based in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with high possibility of extension. Hybrid position, where you have to be at least 1 day a week onsite.
Accountabilities
- Daily maintenance of standard costs in SAP.
- Supports analysis to various functions, teams and departments.
- Supports preparation of budgets, forecasts and Long-Range Scenarios.
- Liaise with Accounting, Tax, Ops Consolidation FP&A, Site FP&A team and business functions.
Main Responsibilities of the role
- FP&A/Accountancy.
- Performs and manages product costing and annual standard costing set-up in SAP.
- Supports month-end close and quarterly budget/planning activities including headcount, operating expenses and capital expenses.
- Supports accounting activities, including preparation of journal entries, monthly and quarterly analyses and reporting of costing-related variances.
- Implements and tracks productivity metrics to support management reporting and partner with the business to drive efficiency.
- Supports communication to Function heads about financial trends and their business implications.
- Provides business support on various finance topics.
- Provides support for internal and external audits.
- Adhoc duties as required.
- Leads continuous improvement projects using existing digital technologies and streamlining on-going activities through automation.
- Supports the finance team on business analyses including modelling of "what if" scenarios
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years' experience in similar position(s) preferably in an international environment.
- MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
- Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Experience in cost accounting, budgeting and planning.
- Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
- High proficiency with SAP, Hyperion and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of accountancy and accounting systems/processes.
- Demonstrates capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes, in a multinational environment.
- Demonstrates excellence in producing accurate work.
- Optimizes work processes.
- Strong communication skills (written, oral, presentation).
- Analyzes and solves complex problems; thinks independently.
