Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician (GMP) on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client located in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with high possibility of extension. This is a fully onsite position. This is position in 3 shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Process:
    • Material acceptance and product preparation.
    • Checking input and output for identity and quality.
    • Process change over, preparation and set-up.
    • Coordinate all line activities, technical and quality problems.
    • Assists engineer during maintenance activities.
    • Cleaning activities.
    • Participates in SGA/projects.
    • Will follow standard operations procedures at all times.
  • Systems:
    • Maximo
    • Microsoft software suite
    • Spotfire, Tableau
    • Aveva PI
  • Equipment:
    • First line trouble shooting.
    • Performs defined maintenance processes according to GMP procedures and within full GMP compliance (e.g. corrective maintenance (repair, replacement), parameter change, finetuning, preventive maintenance).

  • May provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to other team members.

  • Exchanges detailed technical information with customers to solve problems and/or provide ongoing support.
  • Contributes to department/unit through the quality and efficiency of work.
  • May contribute to the department/unit by ensuring the accuracy of others' work and recommending quality guidelines.

Required Qualifications and skills

  • MBO level (relevant education) or related experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant production environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in preventative maintenance.
  • VAPRO or equal technical education.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical/GMP environment.
  • Experience in a packaging environment.
  • Must be able and willing to work in 3 shifts.
  • Proficient in English, both in oral and written communication.
  • GMP mindset and willing/capable to work in a highly regulated environment.
  • Technical savviness/skills (mechanical, electrical, preferably mechatronic).
  • Structured trouble (analytical) shooting skills.
  • Team-player
  • Experience in Automation:
    • Knowledge and preferably experience in troubleshooting for level 2 automation systems such as vision systems, IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, I/O boards, communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, OPC), network, UPS.
    • Experience in taking images, installing images, working with version depository and password managers and establishing remote connections.
    • Knowledge about data infrastructure and management as well as data analysis for trouble shooting and investigations.
