Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Senior Planning & Cost Engineer (client side) based in Milan, on a major development project.

All candidates must have the right to work in the EU unsponsored, no uplifts or living expenses will be provided. All candidates must be willing to work out with "employed status" and should be self-employed/freelance.

The role:
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
* Create schedules using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) to track project milestones and deliverables. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
* Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to identify and address budget discrepancies.
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
* Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
* Oversee the procurement process for project materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
* Collaborate with procurement teams to prepare bid documents, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate contracts.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, conducting vendor assessments and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
* Facilitate communication between project teams and external parties to support project execution.
* Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.

Requirements:
* BSc or higher at oil & gas sector (minimum 10 years' experience).
* Petroleum Tech. Institute with experience in oil & Gas Engineering projects (Non-graduate engineer/ 20 years' experience in oil & gas production).
* PMP or similar, Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (CPSP), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
* Professional Level in English.
