Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Stalk Fabrication Lead, reporting to the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead will be responsible for ensuring all Company requirements are met during stalk fabrication and reeling at the EPCI Contractor Spoolbase. They will manage the QC team and oversee production activities advising the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead of progress and planning.
ACTIVITIES:
* Report to the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead to provide oversight of fabrication activities
* Participate in HAZIDs, Risk Reviews, constructability reviews, and any other fabrication related meetings as directed
* Review Contractor fabrication plans, procedures, drawings, and schedules as directed
* Report to any issues that could impact the quality of the fabricated items to the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead
* Identify issues that could have schedule impacts and report them to the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead
* Attend daily construction meetings with Contractor
* Attend weekly construction meeting with Contractor
* Attend weekly QC meetings with Contractor if required (i.e. QC issues potentially impacting progress)
* Ensure close coordination with Company QC team to ensure that all activities are completed per the required ITP sequence to avoid any delays.
* Be present for and witness all spooling and load-out activities
* Coordinate with Company QC team to ensure that all sea fastenings are properly inspected/examined before sail-away
* Coordinate with Marine Warranty Surveyor and ensure all required certification is issued before sail-away
* Ensuring stalk fabrication and reeling activities are completed in accordance with approved ITPs and acceptance criterion.
* Ensure adherence to all HSE policies during the completion of the work
* Oversee all onsite fabrication activities
* Ensure any technical challenges / non-conformances are brought to the attention of Company technical team for resolution.
* Review all routine and extraordinary lift plans
* Oversee all critical/major activities onsite
* Regularly report progress to the Procurement and Spoolbase Lead
* Review contractor generated Daily Progress Reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 10+ years' experience working as Company site representative or within the offshore construction field.
* Ability to manage up to 5 Company personnel (HSE reps, TPIs,).
* Ability to get along well with others in an international and multi-cultural environment
* Ability to interface with the engineering and installation teams as well as relevant Subject matter Experts
* Ability to multi-task and work as part of small and flexible team.
* Ability to mobilize for the offshore installation campaign if required
* Strong organizational skills
* General knowledge of pipeline systems, welding, NDE and field joint coating.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Experience with spoolbase activities
* Fluent in the English language
