Position Description:
The Welder will be responsible for carrying out all work giving to them by their Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader to the highest possible standard. They will also be the first point of contact for any problems that the apprentices in their respective workshop may have.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
1 Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
2 Carry out all welding activities on fuel nozzles, pipes and fabrication work.
3 Troubleshooting and problem solving of all welding issues.
4 Provide core competence in use of welding equipment.
5 Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes.
6 Participating in any risk assessments / toolbox talks.
7 Provide technical support to all welding workshop teams.
8 Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
9 Plan and coordinate any project work as and when required
10 Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Health, Safety & Quality:
1 Shared responsibility for the safety of all workshop personnel.
2 Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times.
3 Proactively participate and encourage others to participate in all company / client HSEQ initiatives.
4 Positive approach to continual improvement and development.
5 Participate in all accident / incident investigations and reporting as required.
6 Ensure QA job cards are completed to the required standard.
7 Ensure all equipment used is within the required calibration date.
