We have a current opportunity for an experienced Turnaround Operations Planner on a contract basis FIFO 14/7 with camp accommodations.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Systems Turnover Coordinator to join our client on a major LNG project in BC. As the Systems Turnover Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating the smooth transition of systems from the construction phase to the startup phase. Your primary focus will be on coordinating and managing the turnover process, ensuring that all systems are properly tested, inspected, and documented before commissioning.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and oversee the turnover process for all systems within the LNG plant, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with construction, engineering, and operations teams to develop a comprehensive turnover plan, including the identification of systems, system boundaries, and turnover packages.
  • Monitor and track the status of turnover packages, ensuring that all required documentation, testing, and inspections have been completed.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on the turnover progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure alignment among all parties involved.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and facilitate the required inspections and tests for each system, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team to ensure a smooth handover of systems, providing all necessary information and documentation required for the startup phase.
  • Review and validate turnover documentation, including turnover packages, as-built drawings, and operating manuals, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a comprehensive turnover database or system, tracking all relevant information, documentation, and progress for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required, providing support and expertise to ensure the successful startup of systems.

To be successful, you'll need the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Process operations
  • Proven experience as a Turnover Coordinator or similar role in the construction or commissioning phase of large-scale industrial projects, preferably within the LNG or oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of systems turnover processes, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with various stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and project teams.
  • Proficient in using computer software and tools for document management, database management, and project tracking.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
