Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Jacket T&I Lead Engineer on a contract basis.

The role is outside IR35, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement: 3 days per week in our client's Central London office and 2 days working remotely from home.

Our client, a major operator in the offshore wind sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced WTG JKT T&I Lead Engineer to support their cutting-edge offshore wind projects. This is a unique opportunity to lead transportation and installation (T&I) activities for jacket foundations in a high-profile, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of transportation and installation (T&I) activities for WTG jacket foundations, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality, and budget.
  • Develop and manage T&I strategies, including detailed planning, risk assessments, and contingency measures.
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, vessel operators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of T&I operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing challenges and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Act as a technical authority on WTG jacket foundation T&I, providing guidance and expertise to the project team.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in offshore wind, specifically in the transportation and installation of jacket foundations for WTGs.
  • Strong understanding of offshore construction methodologies, marine operations, and project management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Relevant engineering degree and professional certifications (preferred).
