Job description
Electrical Superintendent
The Electrical Superintendent for the Permian business unit will be providing electrical expertise in support of this goal. The Electrical Superintendent will oversee all aspects of safe execution of construction, commissioning, and handover of electrical infrastructure including but not limited to: multiple 5kV compression facilities electrical switchgear stations, multiple 40MVA 21.6kV-5kV facility substations, over 200 well site electrification projects, over 100 well site decarbonization projects, over 300 miles of 21.6kV distribution powerlines, multiple 138kV/21.6kV substations, multiple 10MW Low Emission Hydrogen-Ready Power generation peaking gas plants, Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), Renewable Power Generation (Solar /Wind), 20MW mobile substation for grid electric fracking, electric Drilling etc. The superintendent will also be an important member of the electrical safety committee and will assist in the development of appropriate fit for purpose safety policies. The electrical superintendent will also provide ongoing technical support to our operations organization for issues that come up in the field.
Key Accountabilities:
- Report to Lead Construction Manager
- Work as field construction lead for Project Execution
- Assist in successful execution of project
- Provide input on construction schedule
- Review construction schedules for baselining and other scheduling functions
- Provide daily reports with descriptions and pictures of work performed to track costs
- Provide verification of labor and rental charges by signing daily tickets of construction contractors
- Provide daily cost tracking "roll-ups" of all labor, equipment rental, and materials charges on the project
- Provide input to schedulers on construction progress
- HSD or GED
- Technical Training on Electrical Systems
- Essential Experience:
- Experienced in electrical/electronics related fields
- Experienced in industrial/utility scale electrical systems
- Highly knowledgeable about electrical safety requirements
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of electrical system operation
- Experience supervising contractors
- Experience delivering major projects
- Experience with power system commissioning
- Meet the criteria for qualified electrical personnel
- Experience with High, Medium, and Low Voltage Electrical Safety Requirements
- Experience working on distribution powerlines up to 25kV
- Experience working on high voltage substation construction and or operation
- Electric utility experience
- Licensed High Voltage Electrician
