Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Finance Director on a permanent basis with an exciting Solar start-up. The position can be based anywhere in the United Kingdom.

As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and strategy of our client' UK operations. You will oversee all aspects of financial planning, compliance, and management while implementing robust financial controls to support sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-driven startup revolutionizing the residential and commercial solar installation landscape.

Responsibilities
* Financial Planning and Management:
o Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for UK operations.
o Manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and support operational needs.
* Regulatory Compliance and Financial Services:
o Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, including VAT procedures.
o Work on establishing financial services for customers, ensuring proper systems and compliance measures are in place.
* Funding and Growth Strategies:
o Develop and execute funding strategies to support company expansion.
o Build relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to secure necessary funding.
* Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
o Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
o Provide actionable insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
* Financial Controls and Asset Management:
o Implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard company assets.
o Ensure efficient and accurate financial operations and record-keeping.

Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with substantial leadership experience.
* Deep understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
* Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a track record of driving financial performance.
* Experience in the renewable energy or construction sectors is highly desirable.
* Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to inspire and guide financial teams.
