Job description
Our client, a successful Oil & Gas Construction Company with over 50 years of experience, is seeking an Industrial Carpenter Assistant with experience in concrete formwork to join their team for an exciting opportunity in the oil and gas sector. Position Overview:
As an Industrial Carpenter Assistant, you'll play a key role:
- Supporting a team of Journeyman Carpenters.
- Assisting in the construction of installing formwork systems to meet project specifications.
- Ensuring high-quality results for the client on time on budget.
- Leading by example in safety compliance and promoting a culture of zero incidents on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in site work including assistance around construct and install formwork systems
- Working with concrete and materials
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and safety while working independently.
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture in line with corporate safety policies.
- Various other site duties and responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills:
- Industrial, commercial, carpentry experience with concrete work/experience including formwork
- Experience in formwork, framing, grade beams would be an asset
- Any Safety certifications such as CSTS, First Aid, H2S, and would be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and take instruction well.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Fit to work in these conditions and able to lift more than 50lbs at times and working in key climate weather conditions.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
- Current and Valid drivers Licence
