Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Position Type: Resident-Based (Regional hubs: Long Beach, CA; Pasadena, TX; Gonzales, LA)
Reports To: NA TAR Execution Manager
Position SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation, distribution, and inventory control activities for the organization. This role involves overseeing the movement of goods, materials, and products from suppliers to customers, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Logistics Coordinator collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and third-party logistics providers to streamline operations, resolve issues, and meet business objectives and performance targets.

Essential Functions
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs.
- Upholds quality standards and ensures compliance with organizational guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience reading and understanding contracts and contractual requirements.
- Proficiency in business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SAP.
- Familiarity with requisitioning and procurement processes.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial outages as a Logistics Coordinator/Planner.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead assigned portions of outage scope through planning and execution.
- Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
- Manage logistics vendors, including HW/FW, laborers, sanitation, waste, and fuel.
- Train others on safe forklift operations, including rough terrain and telehandlers.
- Develop and manage outage plot plans and rental equipment lists.
- Coordinate drop-off and pick-up schedules for rental equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service needs are met, including demand and supply planning, inventory management, and operations.
- Uphold and enforce high housekeeping standards in assigned areas and on job sites, conducting regular inspections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers by responding to their needs and requirements.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Complete close-out documentation as per organizational standards and procedures.
Performance Standards
- Willingness to work varied schedules and adhere to fatigue management guidelines. Travel may be required up to 25-45% based on projects.
- Ability to work independently and professionally with minimal supervision.

Additional Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and schedule shipments across various transportation modes.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and analyze demand forecasts to maintain adequate supply chain visibility.
- Track shipment status and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with trade regulations and import/export laws.
- Evaluate logistics service providers and negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Additional certifications in transportation, warehousing, or inventory management are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and import/export compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Results-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
