Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Production Press Operator to join our clients busy team. Based at their Inverness Plant, the Production Press Operator will continuously form a uniform oriented MAT at required quality standards to meet customer demands.

Main Duties

  • Operate and maintain all plant and machinery to expected standards in accordance with Health and Safety policy of the company

  • Maintain adequate records in conjunction with the Quality Assurance manual as required

  • Monitor and control working area and carry out any maintenance and checks as required

  • Monitor operating parameters of equipment and maintaining an accurate log of abnormalities and report deviations/process interruptions to relevant personnel

  • Monitor and control fire-fighting equipment in conjunction with fire team leader

  • Monitor equipment ensuring Planned Maintenance is carried out as per manufacturer recommendations

  • Effective communication with other Departments

  • Actively assist in co-ordinating and developing hazard identification, risk assessment and creation of Safe systems of work for all tasks with the aim of developing a safe system of work for every task. Ensuring that the SSOW is used and reviewed as necessary should the task, method, or hazard change

  • Ensure that operational EHS procedures are followed and all EHS incidents are reported

Required skills & experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Qualified to Higher education level

  • Has the ability to carry out Risk Assessments for all tasks required

  • Displays compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Can assess and evaluate risk, contributes fully in monitoring, quality assurance and communicating risk assessment at operational level
