Project Engineer

Location: London

Job Purpose:

The Project Engineer provides vital support in coordinating development engineering studies and project execution activities. This position serves both the Development Projects and Projects Execution Teams, overseeing topsides and subsea projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities/Objectives:

EHS:

  • Demonstrate personal commitment to EHS performance.
  • Identify and mitigate major EHS hazards during project development.
  • Ensure projects are executed without compromising safety or quality.
  • Technical Coordination and Leadership:
  • Lead the development of Studies Scopes of Work.
  • Coordinate engineering reviews, workshops, and hazard assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Company technical guidelines and standards.
  • Coordinate technical input from all Company stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical assurance audits and Gate assurance reviews.

Project Management:

  • Assist Project Managers in developing and monitoring project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and measure performance using project control tools.
  • Manage project documentation and information exchange.
  • Address schedule clashes and propose process improvements.
  • Education:
  • Tertiary Engineering qualification at degree level.

Skills:

  • Experience in project management and engineering throughout all project lifecycle stages.
  • Previous experience with an oil and gas contractor in engineering.
  • Solid understanding of offshore industry EHS requirements.
  • Experience in brownfield projects, with essential topsides and highly desirable subsea experience.
  • Understanding of offshore construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
