Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst on a permanent basis with an independent oil and gas operating company. This will be based in central London.

Our client would be keen secure such a person on a permanent basis but is open to taking on a long term contractor so if you're interested in either option please apply for the position.

Central to the planning and economics team; this position will involve supporting and delivering team objectives across corporate related work streams

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop our clients corporate financial model to perform consolidated analysis of the business, working closely with a variety of departments across the business.
  • Support and planned cycle, budget, and forecast process is with the extended team.
  • Provide economic evaluations for various projects, from incremental wells up to M&A deals.
  • Assist with any special projects EG improvement initiatives, financing follow actions debt to equity analysis, tax optimization and hedging analysis.

Key skills and experience:

  • Proven corporate modelling experience is essential.
  • Strong to advanced excel and good PPT skills are essential.
  • A good understanding of the E&P upstream value chain and profitability of an E&P company would be highly useful but not essential.
