We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sand Control Pumping Specialist to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be instrumental in the planning and execution of sand control pumping operations, starting from program preparation and encompassing all phases of the project. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in start-up projects and a proven track record of optimizing well productivity while adhering to the highest safety and regulatory standards.

As a Senior Sand Control Pumping Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that wells are delivered and maintained safely, within optimized time and cost parameters, and with targeted productivity. This involves meticulous planning, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to work in compliance with referential, local regulations, and good oil & gas industry practices.

About the Role:
As a Senior Sand Control Pumping Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that wells are delivered and maintained safely, within optimized time and cost parameters, and with targeted productivity. This involves meticulous planning, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to work in compliance with referential, local regulations, and good oil & gas industry practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the basis of sand control completion design in line with SOR requirements.
- Perform sand control pumping selection, chemical qualification, equipment yard calibration and testing, tubing stress analysis, corrosion/erosion studies, and any other studies required for sand control pumping and general completion design.
- Participate in contractor site/process technical and safety audits.
- Organize Complete Well on Paper (CWOP) and risk assessment sessions for sand control pumping in completion and workover operations. Coordinate pre-job planning, quality assurance, and control to ensure successful execution of sand control operations.
- Write well programs, ensuring sand control pumping and completion equipment are prepared, fit for purpose, and meet well timelines. Ensure risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP are carried out prior to completion operations.
- Provide technical support during well site operations. Ensure procedures are followed by the sand control pumping service provider and well site supervisors. Where applicable, ensure MOCs are written, and risk assessments are carried out and communicated to the well site team promptly.
- Coordinate with field engineers and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of sand control jobs.
- Interpret well site sand control pumping data and recommend on-the-fly optimizations to realize well objectives. Provide technical interpretation and operational assistance during sand control operations.
- Follow well KPIs and the service quality database, and benchmark operations performance.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation post-job to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure lessons learned and best practices are communicated to the service company and other stakeholders.
- Follow up and close out any highlighted improvement actions.
- Ensure sand control pumping services, general completion schematics, and final tallies are correct and uploaded into WELLVIEW.
- Participate in LEAN, cost rationalization, and continuous improvement culture within the completion team.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in sand control pumping operations.
- Proven hands-on experience in designing and executing gravel pack operations.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead risk analysis sessions and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Willingness to work offshore and supervise operations in challenging environments.
- Internal: All entities involved in rig operations (SIMOPS).
- External: All contractors involved in rig operations.
- Ensure respect for safety rules, the environment, and the frame of reference.
- Guarantee the accomplishment of completion and/or workover operations in compliance with codes of practice, safety, and environmental protection, while optimizing costs and lead times.
- Ensure the suitability of personnel, equipment, and services to operational requirements.
- Contribute to optimization through a continual search for improving equipment, services, and operational procedures.
