Shipping and Receiving Clerk (1-2 Years Experience)
Location: Onsite - Spencer Road Location, Houston, TX (Spencer Road - FM 529)
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract 6+ months


Job Overview:
We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk with 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, large-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing shipments, stock, and inventory control in a manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP Management: Input information into the JDE ERP system and manage goods receipts, issues, and transfers.
  • Shipment Preparation: Prepare finished goods for shipping, including wrapping, crating, and labeling boxes.
  • Material Handling: Operate forklifts and other equipment to weigh and transfer products to staging areas.
  • Inventory Management: Stock receivables, organize shelves, and mark materials with identifying information.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • General Warehouse Duties: Build crates, pack components, verify quantities, and ensure proper rigging for inbound and outbound vehicles.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or related fields. Big-box experience or high-volume environments are a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.


Skills:

  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, especially JDE (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in large-volume environments or big-box facilities is preferred.

  • Interview Process: One round of onsite interviews (1 hour).

  • Fast-paced manufacturing facility, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  • Additional Information:
  • Full-time position with the potential to be extended or converted to permanent based on performance.
  • Standard background checks and a physical will be required.
