Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Shutdown Coordinator, based in Aberdeen with routine offshore visits.

Responsibilities:
* Providing full-year shutdown planning with overall accountability for planned shutdowns and
production train outages.
* Adhering to the 8 principles of process safety leadership and maintaining a continued focus on preventing major accident hazards and loss of containment.
* Developing and managing shutdown processes and procedures.
* Maintaining "unplanned" shutdown worklists when outages occur.
* Preparing and maintaining planned shutdown procurement status report (PSR).
* Chairing weekly, bi-weekly or monthly shutdown meetings and issuing resulting plan and minutes in a timely manner.
* Driving shutdown gate criteria process, including permit creation, material whereabouts, scaffolding requirements, core crew manpower, SOW creation and issue, and WO tracking etc, and ensuring scope owners meet required deadlines.
* Acting as focal point and lead of shutdown team, including shutdown planner, procurement and logistics team, and offshore shutdown focal points (eg Facilities Engineer and Materials Controller).
* Acting as focal point for all shutdown-related third-party suppliers.
* Challenging scopes, where appropriate, through implementation of shutdown challenge review
process.
* Driving shutdown workscope Management of Change process.
* Ensuring the close-out and reporting of all scopes is completed in a time-efficient and organised manner.
* Carrying out routine offshore visits and, during periods of planned shutdown, providing daily shutdown reports to BAUK, BAB and client personnel.
* Ensuring cost-effective solutions and savings are secured where appropriate.
* Managing the Operations & Management shutdown budget, ensuring that cost control is applied where appropriate.
* Ensuring all assets and facilities within areas of responsibility comply with BAUK health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
* Maintaining a high level of morale and strong team spirit within the Operations Team.
* Demonstrating a high level of safety acumen.
* Performing any other tasks as reasonably required.

Requirements:
* Previous experience in the role of Shutdown Coordinator, having previously executed a planned asset shutdown.
* Proven delivery/experience/involvement in FPSO/platform shutdown & TAR's.
* Experience in UKCS FPSO operations is preferrable.
* Understanding of what an MOC process is, and how it relates to the aspect of process safety.
* Experience in dealing with client personnel.
* Good leadership and team-building qualities, sound inter-personal skills and be culturally aware working with a multicultural workforce.
* The ability to work with a diverse group of people ranging from technical staff to onsite operations personnel of international diversification.
* Demonstrable analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills; preparing SOW's, workpacks etc.
* Evident time and budget management skills, with experience in planning scopes and activities.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead/participate in meetings and perform oral presentations to key personnel.
* Sound IT ability - use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Positive and proactive attitude.
