Job description

Based in either our Aberdeen or Inverness Head office we now have an excellent opportunity for a Software Support Analyst (Software Tester), who will provide support for software systems developed in-house by OCCMS.

This role will ideally suit a candidate who holds a relevant qualification and have some experience of software testing and documenting test procedures, while also having knowledge and understanding of the following areas:

  • Testing / QA of desktop, web and mobile applications.
  • Providing first line support via email and telephone to resolve Client's issues.
  • Logging incidents, bug and feature requests in ticketing system.
  • Updating documentation and Software User Manual.

Experience Skills Required:

  • Software testing packages (SmartBear TestComplete, Selenium, Jira, etc)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2010 (preferable and no actual development skills required)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012+
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Presentation and DTP software as required.
  • Excellent written communication skills are essential.
  • Good analytical skills and judgement with the ability to analyse and resolve problems, identifying practical solutions
  • Experience using MS Office.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry and commissioning terminology would be preferable.
  • Preferably experience with software assembly/packaging/deployment.
